Volunteers Needed for Shared Offering Potluck!

The shared offering team needs help to pull of this year’s voting process and potluck on November 16th.  Can you spare about an hour before and/or an hour after to help set up fellowship hall and then clean up afterward?  

Set up will start at 10:00AM and clean up will immediately follow the potluck and voting, likely around 1:00pm.  If you are willing to help, please contact the shared offering team at sharedoffering@uucuc.org or you can contact Pat McClard directly at patrickmcclard@gmail.com or by phone at 319-486-8942 or just chat with him after a service.    

There are less than three weeks remaining to nominate your organizations for the 2026 Shared Offering.  Nominations are due no later than midnight on November 9th.  Please CLICK HERE to nominate your organization!

Every month, UUCUC shares 50% of all un-designated (those not given to a specific cause) plate donations to organizations aligned with our values.  Each year, the congregation selects 11 organizations, one for each month; with December always dedicated to our partner churches.  

Shared offering is one of the most significant sources of financial support that UUCUC provides to our community and one which all members and friends of the church are welcome to participate in.  Any member or friend may nominate an organization to receive the shared offering next year.

KEY DATES

The deadline for submitting a nomination is Sunday November 9th, 2025.

The voting meeting will occur on Sunday, November 16 starting at 11:45 A.M., in Fellowship Hall.
